Unless you live under a rock or you just don’t like video games, you’ve probably played, seen, or at least, heard of StarCraft II. It is the next chapter in the great StarCraft universe continuing the story after Brood War. It is also one of the most popular competition video games spawning a huge following in Korea.

I liked the original game and I love the current version, so naturally I went online to find some more info on the game, strategies, builds, etc. In my search, I came up on two very interesting articles.

Apparently, there are two large, well-known universities that are currently offering classes in StarCraft II. It also looks like these classes are not some crappy, lame, let’s-get-together-and-I’ll-teach-you-starcraft classes. They are legit courses that carry credit in one case.

Now, from what I understand one of the schools (University of Florida) offers their class as a way to illustrate business concepts. However, UC Berkley’s class is about competitive StarCraft play. One of the students kept a blog as the class went on. His blog was from a couple of years ago when they were still teaching StarCraft and StarCraft Brood War.
