I have posted a new version of the WP Backup Script (v0.3.3). The reason why I am posting this script is that I have changed the internal structure of the BackupFiles to allow for future features that I am planning. Unfortunately, that change makes old BackupFiles incompatible with the new version and I wanted any users to start using the newer format.
This version of the script, among other things, adds a “version” field to the script. Future versions of the tool will have a list of BackupFile versions which it is backwards-compatible with, in order to avoid any incompatibilities like the one introduced here. I am REALLY, REALLY hoping that I have thought in advance and there shouldn’t be any more such surprised in the near future.
Users who are wanting to switch to this new version should immediate create a backup using the new version (v0.3.3) of the tool.
